About Me

I am Dr. Ekaterina Nissanova, clinical psychologist and trainee psychotherapist with a cognitive-constructivist specialization, registered with the Order of Psychologists of Lombardy (n. 26747).

My professional interest focuses on how people interpret their experiences, organize their inner world, and develop personal ways of responding to different phases of life.

My Journey Across Contexts and Clinical Training

My path developed through the integration of very variable and different fields.

Studies at the European School of Economics broadened my perspective toward international contexts and organizational dynamics, while my psychological training at Sigmund Freud University in Milan allowed me to deepen my understanding of emotions, thought processes, and relationships in shaping subjective experience.

I am currently completing my specialization in psychotherapy at Scuola Nous, where the cognitive-constructivist orientation is integrated with mindfulness practices, offering tools for a more conscious, articulated and tailored reading of individual pathways.

Clinical experience

I successfully completed clinical training at Istituto Maugeri in Montescano, working with chronic illnesses and the complexity of care.

I currently continue my clinical activity at San Gerardo Hospital in Monza, in contexts requiring integration, sensitivity, and respect for the multiple levels of human experience.

METHOD

In my clinical work, I privilege an encounter oriented toward observing what happens in the present moment, understanding personal response patterns, and expanding the perspectives through which a person reads their experience.

The cognitive-constructivist approach and the integration of mindfulness technique which does not “reduce” the person to a diagnosis, but recognizes their complexity, resources, and timing.

I believe in a measured and conscious model of psychotherapy, grounded in clarity, respect for individual experience, and active mutual collaboration within the therapeutic process.

The goal is not to “fix” what does not work, but to guide the person in developing more functional and sustainable ways of inhabiting their life.

In my psychology and psychotherapy practice in Milan, I work with adults experiencing transitions, emotional challenges, relational complexities, and issues related to women’s health, or moments when personal balance requires renewed orientation.

Sessions are available in Italian, English, and Russian, both in person and online.
